Travel writing made for the person paying for the trip.

We started Flowtravel because we wanted a travel magazine that helped us make a decision — not one that sold us the same five destinations again.

What we are

An editorial first, a magazine second.

We publish ten to twenty pieces a month, and every single one passes a single test: does this help someone make a better decision about a trip? If it does not, we do not publish it.

Bilingual from the first day.

Spanish and English, side by side. Same disciplines, same standards, neither one a translation of the other. We write each piece for its language, not for SEO.

Built to grow into more than reading.

Today, an editorial. Soon, a community and a small set of tools that travel with you. The site you are reading is the floor, not the ceiling.

Our editorial principles

Six rules we don't break.

Decision-useful or it does not run.

Every piece answers a real question someone is searching: when, who, how much, what to know. If it does not, we send it back to the writer.

Transparent about money.

We say what a trip costs. We say when we are an affiliate. We say when we were hosted. No sponsored opinions, ever — and you can tell us when we miss.

Slow over fast.

We would rather publish two good pieces a week than ten thin ones. A travel article you can trust takes time on the ground and time at the desk.

Voices over a voice.

We are a small editorial team and a wider bench of writers — locals when we can, returners when we cannot, never a checklist.

Bilingual without translation.

A piece in Spanish is written in Spanish, not translated from English. Same for the reverse. The conversations are different and we respect that.

Updated, not abandoned.

Every published article is dated and revisited. If something changes — a price, a season, a closure — we update the piece and say what we changed.

Editorial standards

How we publish, in five lines.

ON-THE-GROUNDEvery destination piece is written by someone who has spent at least seven days there in the last 24 months.
INDEPENDENCEWe do not accept paid editorial. Sponsored content lives in its own format and is labeled accordingly on every screen.
AFFILIATESWhen we link to a booking site or a product, we say so. The recommendation does not change based on the rate.
CORRECTIONSWe correct in public. Each correction appears at the bottom of the piece with a date.
UPDATESEvery article is reviewed at least once a year. The 'last updated' date is at the top, not buried.
